TEACHER DENISE'S LEARNING CENTER

    WHAT IS E.C.E.R.S ?

E.C.E.R.S Stands for Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale . The scale was developed to measure the quality of care on a grading scale for children 2.5 - 5 years of age. Each child care program is rated by an unbiased outside agency to create a uniform grading system. The child care program is graded in 43 areas on a 7 point scale with indicators 1=(inadequate) 3= (minimal) 5=(good) 7=(excellent) . This system has become the industry standard and used widely within child care programs.

HOW DOES THE SCORE REFLECT QUALITY CARE ?

basically an average is taken from all areas with a score of below 5 indicating very minimal quality. A score of 5 would indicate good care with the very best score possible to be 7 for excellent. The higher the score the higher the quality of child care.

    HOW DID WE SCORE 2013 ? 6.48

    HOW DID WE SCORE 2014 ? 6.80

We are very please to announce that Teacher Denise's Learning Center scored a 6.48 in 2013 just .52 from excellent. We were scored by Valley Oak Children s Center and have goals to achieve 7.0 in 2014.
